7. Surveillance video footage of girl's mother holding her
A little girl was caught on surveillance footage falling into a gap and becoming stuck between the train and the platform edge in Xining Railway Station of northwest China's Qinghai Province.
The girl was walking on the platform with her mother when she fell into the gap, one minute before the train was due to depart.
After hearing the girl's mother calling for help, nearby passengers and police officers rushed to the scene.
Two passengers jumped down onto the platform and pulled the girl up together with other people around, whilst police tried to call the train driver to delay the trains departure.
The girl was finally rescued with no injuries.
Police officers are reminding people to mind the gap between the train and platform edge.
"When the train stops at the platform, the 20-centimeter-wide gap between the train and platform is very easy for children to fall into. If it was not discovered immediately, the result would have been unimaginable," said Yin Changhai, a railway policeman from Changchun Railway Security.
