The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) support base in Djibouti held its first live ammunition shooting drill on Friday.
The training was designed to examine the garrison's capacity of comprehensive weapon application and completing diversified military tasks in an environment of high temperature, high humidity, high salinity and high levels of radiation.
In the high temperature of over 40 degrees Celsius, dozens of officers and soldiers shot at different targets from different distances using pistols, automatic rifles, sniper rifles and coaxial machine guns right after they arrived at Djibouti's national training range, to improve their military skills.

It is also an important part of the 'month with guns' activity held by the base.
