"I can see now that China has become a very mature country in space exploration and space activities. China today masters all the key technologies to explore space: humans living in space; they can do space walks. In China, you must also manual and automatic rendezvous, and these are key elements to do exploration, because you need to be able to explore outside in a space suit. You need to master docking, undocking like going to the moon or to Mars. So China is a super space power today."

Seventeen Chinese and foreign astronauts gathered at China Astronaut Center to exchange experiences and discuss international cooperation, to mark China's third Space Day which fell on Tuesday.
Five astronauts from Russia, France, Malaysia, and Romania delivered reports and shared with Chinese astronauts their ideas and experience on the subjects including the on-orbit physical and mental problems, and conducted exchanges on international cooperation.
"We have attached great importance to the cooperation and exchanges with foreign astronauts on academic studies and trainings. Next, we want to jointly carry out some researches on space food with the European Space Agency (ESA)," said Fei Junlong, deputy director of China Astronaut Center.
China will finish building its own space station in 2020. Talking about international cooperation on space station, Yang Liwei, the first astronaut and now the director of China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO), said China is willing to cooperate with the countries and regions which are dedicated to peacefully use the outer space, based on the principles of mutual trust, mutual benefit and peaceful development, so as to make joint efforts to contribute to the space exploration.
"We also reserve chances for international cooperation on the space station in the next stage. We reserve various of experimental labs as well. We hope those countries and regions which are dedicated to international cooperation can actively join in our construction and operation of China's space station," said Yang.
Peaceful use of outer space and jointly exploring the universe are the dream of all humans.
Astronauts from various countries expect to have deeper exchanges and cooperation with China on the perspectives, including scientific research, standard setting and space station operation.
