Storyline


The laboratory building of the Centrifugal Hyper-gravity and Interdisciplinary Experiment Facility, a key state sci-tech infrastructure, was delivered for operation in Hangzhou, the provincial capital of Zhejiang in east China on Jan 3.

Equipment installation and debugging are underway in the building, with trial operation expected in March.

With a total investment of 2.1 billion yuan (around 286 million U.S. dollars) and covering an area of over 59,000 square meters, the Centrifugal Hyper-gravity and Interdisciplinary Experiment Facility will be the world's largest and most powerful of its kind upon completion.

The whole project is scheduled to enter full operation by the end of 2026.
