U.S. President Joe Biden's public approval rating fell to 36 percent this week to tie the lowest rating since he took office in January 2021, a Reuters and Ipsos opinion poll showed on Tuesday.
The nationwide poll found that 59 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden's work performance.
His approval rating has been below 50 percent since August last year, and it fell from 39 percent a week ago to the current rating of 36 percent.
Biden's time in office has been plagued by an inflation surge, which rose to a 40-year high in June at over 9 percent.
And his current ratings rival the lows of his predecessor, Donald Trump, whose popularity bottomed out at 33 percent in December 2017.
