China hopes the United States will join to bring bilateral relations back to the track of healthy and stable growth, Wang Wenbin, a spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Friday.

Wang made the statement at a press conference in Beijing when commenting on the current China-US relations after the recent slew of U.S. top officials and politicians visiting China, such as U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who just came to China last week.

"In viewing and handling our relations with the US, we have always observed the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation proposed by President Xi Jinping. We hope the US will work in the same direction with China to bring bilateral relations back to the track of healthy and stable growth," Wang said.
