China Media Group (CMG) unveiled "Loong Chenchen", the official mascot for the 2024 Spring Festival Gala on Wednesday, ahead of the upcoming Year of the Dragon beginning in February 2024.

The name "Loong Chenchen" incorporates the Chinese character "Loong," which translates to "dragon" in English. The dragon has long held significant spiritual and cultural importance in China, featuring prominently in literature, art, folklore, architecture, clothing, and painting for thousands of years. In line with this rich heritage, the mascot embodies auspicious meanings of good fortune, peace and happiness.

The mascot is intricately designed, drawing inspiration from China's deep and enduring traditional culture. An example of this is the incorporation of the unique ancient dragon nose into its design. This element is inspired by a dragon-shaped artifact dated back to the Xia Dynasty (around 2070 BC-1600 BC). The artifact is crafted from over 2,000 pieces of turquoise and was unearthed at the Erlitou archaeological site in Yanshi District of Luoyang City in north China's Henan Province.

Additionally, the design of the dragon claw in "Loong Chenchen" draws inspiration from the pattern of the Nine-Dragon Wall of the Palace Museum in Beijing, exuding a sense of solemnity. And the design of its dragon fin is based on a Tang Dynasty (618-907) artifact resembling a gold dragon in motion, which is exhibited in the Xi'an Museum in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

The color scheme of "Loong Chenchen" features traditional Chinese hues, including "Chengxia," which translates to red or rosy clouds in English, symbolizing youth and vitality. Additionally, "Chunchen," representing the color turquoise, signifies spring, hope and growth.

The Spring Festival Gala, known in Chinese as "Chunwan," is an essential part of the Lunar New Year celebrations and is deeply cherished by the Chinese people. Featuring a diverse array of performances, including music, dance, comedy and drama, the Gala is much more than an entertainment show. Rather, it symbolizes a time for family gatherings and the joyful ushering in of the new year.

During the Spring Festival, families throughout China will come together. Broadcasting on the Lunar New Year's Eve, the Gala is watched by more than a billion people, creating a shared experience that enhances feelings of unity and reunion.

Le China Media Group (CMG) a dévoilé mercredi la mascotte du gala de la fête du Printemps 2024, "Long Chenchen".

La nouvelle année chinoise, qui débutera le 10 février 2024, sera placée sous le signe du dragon.

Symbole spirituel et culturel important de la nation chinoise, le dragon, ou Long, est largement présent dans la littérature, l'art, le folklore, l'architecture, l'habillement et la peinture depuis des milliers d'années.

Inspirée des objets les plus précieux des collections des musées, la mascotte du gala représente la chance, la paix et le bonheur.

Медиакорпорация Китая (CMG) сегодня, 6 декабря, представила талисман предстоящего гала-концерта по случаю Праздника Весны. Им стал дракон Лун Чэньчэнь, который символизирует счастье, благополучие и мир.

Дизайнеры талисмана вдохновились лучшими произведениями древней китайской культуры, и это оценят все любители истории. Например, по форме носа он похож на бирюзового дракона из городища Эрлитоу в провинции Хэнань, возраст которого около 3700 лет.

Талисман гала-концерта украшен такими же узорами, как и бронзовый артефакт с самой ранней записью иероглифов 中国 (Китай). Дракон Лун Чэньчэнь раскрашен в четыре цвета, которые символизируют восходящее солнце и ожидание весны.

El Grupo de Medios de China (CMG) presentó el miércoles a Long Chen Chen, la auspiciosa mascota de la Gala de la Fiesta de la Primavera de 2024 que dará la bienvenida al próximo Año del Dragón.

El Año Nuevo chino, también conocido como la Fiesta de la Primavera en China, cae el 10 de febrero de 2024, según el zodíaco chino.

Como un importante símbolo espiritual y cultural de la nación china, la imagen del dragón, o ´long´ en chino, se ha utilizado ampliamente en la literatura, el arte, el folclore, la arquitectura, la vestimenta y la pintura durante miles de años.

Inspirada en la excelente cultura tradicional y en algunas colecciones más preciadas de los museos, la mascota de la Gala de la Fiesta de la Primavera llega con la misión de transmitir mensajes de buena suerte, paz y felicidad en la alegre ocasión de reunión familiar.

Por ejemplo, la nariz de Long Chen Chen se inspira en la nariz del dragón antiguo que aparece en el relieve de una vasija hecha de turquesa y desenterrada del sitio de reliquias de Erlitou en la provincia de Henan, en el centro de China. Erlitou fue ciudad capital durante los períodos medio y tardío de la dinastía Xia (alrededor de 2070 a. C.-1600 a. C.), la dinastía más antigua de China.

La mascota está pintada en varios colores tradicionales chinos similares al rojo, naranja y verde que simbolizan las nubes rosadas del amanecer y el vigor y la vitalidad de la primavera.

　中央広播電視総台（チャイナ・メディア・グループ/CMG）の2024年「春晩（春節の夕べ）」のマスコットキャラクターが6日に発表された。「春晩」は毎年旧暦の大晦日の夜から翌日未明にかけて放送される、春節恒例の超大型年越し番組である。

　2024年は2月10日が春節にあたる。

　マスコットキャラクターの名前は「龍辰辰」。「龍辰辰」は中華民族の伝統文化からデザインの着想を得ており、干支の1つである龍に込められた人々の思いと美しさを備えており、新時代の中国人の上昇志向を表現している。

　「龍辰辰」には、河南省偃師の二里頭遺跡から出土した器にある龍の鼻のデザインが要素として取り入れられた。また「龍辰辰」の背骨と腹の模様は、「中国」という言葉が最も早く記録された紀元前11世紀の西周成王時代に作られた青銅製酒器「何尊」の側面と雲雷の文様に由来している。そして眉と肩は、河南博物館所蔵の雲紋銅禁紋飾りから取り入れられた。これら精巧なデザインがマスコットキャラクターにおもむきと伝統的な雰囲気を与えている。

Die China Media Group (CMG) stellte am Mittwoch „Long Chenchen“ vor, das offizielle Maskottchen für die Frühlingsfest-Gala 2024, im Vorfeld des kommenden Jahres des Drachen, das im Februar 2024 beginnt.

In dem Namen „Long Chenchen“ ist das chinesische Schriftzeichen „Long“ enthalten, das so viel wie Drachen bedeutet. Als ein wichtiges spirituelles und kulturelles Symbol der chinesischen Nation ist das Bild des chinesischen Drachens seit Tausenden von Jahren in Literatur, Kunst, Folklore, Architektur, Kleidung und Malerei weit verbreitet.

Das Maskottchen der Frühlingsfest-Gala ist von der ausgezeichneten traditionellen Kultur und einigen der wertvollsten Artefakte in den Museumssammlungen inspiriert und soll Botschaften des Glücks, des Friedens und der Freude anlässlich des fröhlichen Familientreffens vermitteln.

So ist die Nase von Long Chenchen von der antiken Drachennase auf einem drachenförmigen Gefäß aus Türkis inspiriert, das in der Fundstätte von Erlitou in der zentralchinesischen Provinz Henan ausgegraben wurde, welches in der mittleren und späten Periode der Xia-Dynastie (ca. 2070 v. Chr. – 1600 v. Chr.), der ältesten bekannten Dynastie Chinas, als Hauptstadt diente.

Das Farbschema des Maskottchens beinhaltet traditionelle chinesische Farbtöne, darunter „Chengxia“, welches sich am besten mit rötlich oder rosig ins Deutsche übersetzen lässt, und Jugend und Vitalität symbolisiert, sowie „Chunchen“, welches für türkis steht und Frühling, Hoffnung und Wachstum symbolisiert.

Durch die Verbindung traditioneller kultureller Elemente mit zeitgenössischer Ästhetik soll das Maskottchen mit zu der festlichen Atmosphäre bei den Neujahrsfeiern beitragen.

Die Frühlingsfest-Gala 2024 wird am Vorabend des Frühlingsfestes, also am 9. Februar 2024, ausgestrahlt.
