The 2024 China·AI Gala was launched on Wednesday in the tech hub of Shenzhen City, south China's Guangdong Province, as part of the efforts to boost the healthy development of the cutting-edge technology.
The gala, co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG), the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, will bring together the latest achievements of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in multiple fields.
It aims to promote technological innovation to lead media change, better empower the production and dissemination of high-quality content, and actively shape new patterns in mainstream public opinion.
In recent years, CMG has grasped the development trend of AI, actively laid out AI-powered audiovisual applications, and fully converged on technologies, enterprises, personalities and creative power in China's AI field in a bid to promote AI as an important engine for the development of new quality productive forces.
A white paper on the development of AI by CMG was released at the launch ceremony.
The document puts forward four basic principles and three-pronged measures, with a view toward providing a guiding framework for the healthy and orderly development of the technology.
The program will be aired on multiple platforms including CCTV-1 Channel, yangshipin.cn and cctv.com in June.
