China's homegrown HH-100 unmanned cargo aircraft completed its maiden flight test in northwestern province of Shaanxi on Wednesday, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

The commercial cargo drone took off on 09:16 Beijing Time and landed smoothly after a 35-kilometer flight. During the flying test, the systems and equipment of the aircraft operated normally, and the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) maintained stable attitude and good state.

After the latest success of the maiden flight, the HH-100 will enter the scientific research test flight stage from the ground test stage.

"This aircraft adopts a universal and modular design, enabling a versatile platform, and we can hang different mission modules to fulfill logistics transportation tasks. In the future, the aircraft will facilitate an air highway enabling cargo flows in all directions," said Chen Lei, chief designer of the civil UAV project at AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry Group Company.

The HH-100, independently developed by the AVIC, boasts low cost, large tonnage and high payload. It will be mainly used in feeder logistics, and can also participate in forest and grassland firefighting, fire monitoring, rescue materials transportation and delivery, relay communication and artificial rain enhancement.

Based on the system platform of this type of aircraft, series products of 5 tons, 10 tons and above will be developed in the future to meet the customers' needs for large-scale, intelligent, low-cost, and high reliability unmanned cargo planes.

Китайский грузовой беспилотник HH-100 завершил свой первый полет 12 июня в провинции Шэньси на северо-западе Китая, согласно данным Китайской корпорации авиационной промышленности (AVIC).

Коммерческий грузовой беспилотник взлетел в 09:16 по пекинскому времени и плавно приземлился после 35-километрового полета. Во время летных испытаний системы самолета работали нормально, и он сохранял устойчивое положение и хорошее состояние.

"У этого летательного аппарата модульная конструкция, то есть мы можем подвешивать различные модули для выполнения задач по логистике и транспортировке. В будущем это будет способствовать созданию воздушной магистрали, обеспечивающей грузопотоки во всех направлениях", – сказал Чэнь Лэй, главный конструктор проекта гражданского беспилотного летательного аппарата Сианьской авиастроительной корпорации.

Самолет HH-100, разработанный AVIC самостоятельно, может похвастаться низкой стоимостью и большей грузоподъемностью. Он будет в основном использоваться в логистике, а также может участвовать в тушении лесных и луговых пожаров, мониторинге пожаров, транспортировке и доставке спасательных материалов, ретрансляции связи и искусственном усилении дождя.

На основе системной платформы этого самолета в будущем будут разработаны серийные аппараты грузоподъемностью 5 тонн, 10 тонн и выше, чтобы удовлетворить потребности клиентов в крупногабаритных, интеллектуальных, недорогих и высоконадежных беспилотных грузовых беспилотниках.

El avión de carga no tripulado HH-100 de fabricación china completó el miércoles su primer vuelo de prueba en la provincia noroccidental de Shaanxi, según la Corporación de la Industria de la Aviación de China (AVIC).

El avión comercial de carga despegó a las 09:16 hora de Beijing y aterrizó sin contratiempos tras un vuelo de 35 kilómetros. El HH-100, desarrollado independientemente por AVIC, se caracteriza por su bajo costo, gran tonelaje y elevada carga útil. Se utilizará principalmente en la logística de alimentación y también podrá participar en la extinción de incendios forestales y de pastizales, el monitoreo de incendios, el transporte y la entrega de materiales de rescate, la comunicación de retransmisión y la mejora de la lluvia artificial

Sobre la base de la plataforma del sistema de este tipo de avión, en el futuro se desarrollarán productos en serie de 5 toneladas, 10 toneladas y más para satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes de aviones de carga no tripulados de gran escala, inteligentes, de bajo costo y alta confiabilidad.
