"Yesterday, a group from the ADF (Australian Defense Force) came to help us. They are assisting us with the ongoing search and rescue work, as you can see behind me. We are searching for the remaining bodies. We are doing our best to find and recover bodies from the rubble. We are also clearing the rubble to minimize the danger to the rescue team."

Urgent rescue operations continue in Vanuatu following a devastating earthquake, with rescuers working tirelessly to search for survivors, according to a rescue worker.
Vuti Sale, an engineer with the Vanuatu Mobile Forces and earthquake rescue personnel, described the dire situation on the ground in an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) on Friday.
"We've been here for two days. We’ve experienced an earthquake, and some people have lost their lives. We are assisting the police in searching for and rescuing survivors. We have tried our best to find them; some are now in the hospital. Some have been seriously injured and are now in the care of doctors at the hospital," said the rescuer.
As Vanuatu grapples with the aftermath of the earthquake, efforts to provide aid and support are crucial. Sale said that an international rescue team from Australia arrived a day earlier to assist with the ongoing efforts, while rescue teams continue to work tirelessly in their search for survivors and to provide vital support.
"Yesterday, a group from the ADF (Australian Defense Force) came to help us. They are assisting us with the ongoing search and rescue work, as you can see behind me. We are searching for the remaining bodies. We are doing our best to find and recover bodies from the rubble. We are also clearing the rubble to minimize the danger to the rescue team," he said.
Vanuatu's caretaker Prime Minister, Charlot Salwai, declared a 7-day state of emergency on Tuesday evening, calling for international aid. Many countries, including China, have expressed their willingness to provide support.
The 7.3-magnitude earthquake that struck on Tuesday lunchtime has left at least 14 people dead, including two Chinese nationals.
