China warmly welcomes the new member of BRICS and stands ready for greater BRICS cooperation in the future, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday.

Brazil, the BRICS chair for the year of 2025, released a statement on Monday announcing that Indonesia has become a full member of the BRICS.

Countries such as Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Cuba and Bolivia have become BRICS partners on the first day of 2025.

At a regular press conference in Beijing, Guo said, "China warmly welcomes the new member of the 'BRICS family'. The BRICS cooperation mechanism owes its birth to the historical trend of the collective rise of emerging markets and developing countries, which is in line with the expectations of the international community to maintain world peace, promote common development and improve global governance. La Chine souhaite la bienvenue à l'Indonésie comme nouveau membre des BRICS et se dit prête à renforcer la coopération avec le groupe, a déclaré mardi Guo Jiakun, porte-parole du ministère chinois des Affaires étrangères.

Le Brésil, qui vient de prendre la présidence tournante des BRICS, a annoncé lundi l'adhésion officielle de l'Indonésie en tant que membre à part entière au bloc.

L'adhésion de l'Indonésie a été approuvée lors du sommet des BRICS à Johannesburg en août 2023 et officialisée après la formation du nouveau gouvernement du pays asiatique.

Des pays comme le Kazakhstan, la Malaisie, Cuba et la Bolivie sont devenus partenaires des BRICS dès le 1er janvier 2025.

　2025年BRICS議長国のブラジルは6日夜、インドネシアがBRICSの正式メンバーに加わったと発表した。これに先立ち、今月1日にはカザフスタン、マレーシア、キューバ、ボリビアもBRICSのパートナー国となっており、BRICS諸国は「大BRICS協力」の新時代に入った。

　郭報道官はこれについて「BRICS協力メカニズムは新興市場国と発展途上国の集団的成長という歴史の大きな流れから生まれ、世界平和を守り、共同発展を促進し、グローバルガバナンスを改善するという国際社会の期待に合致している」と述べた。
