Dialog and negotiation are the only viable solution to the Ukraine crisis, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.

Mao made the remarks in response to a media query about whether China plans to take any new measures to promote the solution of the crisis.

"China is always of the view that dialog and negotiation are the only viable solution to the Ukraine crisis. We are happy to see relevant parties play a constructive role in building conditions for cooling down the situation and the political settlement of the crisis. China will continue to promote talks for peace and stands ready to maintain communication with all parties," she said.

Le dialogue et les négociations sont la seule solution viable à la crise ukrainienne, a déclaré vendredi Mao Ning, porte-parole du ministère chinois des Affaires étrangères.

Elle a tenu ces propos en répondant à une question sur la possibilité que la Chine envisage de prendre de nouvelles mesures pour promouvoir la résolution de la crise en Ukraine.
