Russia and Ukraine on Thursday reported ongoing clashes between their military forces, including continued waves of drone attacks overnight.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, Russia's air defenses had intercepted and shot down 19 Ukrainian drones over the Kursk and Belgorod regions in western Russia.

The ministry said that Russian forces had stepped up attacks in the south of Donetsk, and had repelled multiple Ukrainian attacks and launched multiple offensives in the directions of Kharkiv and Zaporizhia. The Russian forces attacked concentrations of Ukrainian forces and equipment in 142 areas, destroying Ukrainian field artillery, electronic warfare base stations and ammunition depots, the ministry said.

Russian forces destroyed Ukrainian tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, air defense missile launchers, and multiple drone control points in Kursk.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Thursday that from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, Russian forces launched attacks with 166 drones, saying they had shot down 90.
Drones that evaded air defenses caused damages in Ukraine's Kiev, Chernigov and Sumy regions, including a fire at an industrial facility sparked by falling fragments of a destroyed drone, the report said.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on Thursday that 110 clashes had occurred along the frontlines in the past day, with Ukrainian forces launching offensives or repelling Russian attacks in the directions of Kupyansk and Pokrovsk, among others. The report said Ukrainian forces had destroyed Russian tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems and air defense systems.
