"China's commitment to expanding its opening-up policy has bolstered global interactions and collaborations. Take standardization as an example. Here we see first that facilitating exchanges and discussions on China's energy-saving policies and standards with those of the EU and other countries, and also secondly, providing high-level support for the promotion and application of green and efficient pump products, both are very key to promoting the whole upgrading of the industry."

"We are receiving a positive signal in terms of support of investments that we are going to do in the Greater Bay Area. We also see a positive signal into the support to more modernization, moving from old houses to good houses. So, we want to expand our operation in the south of China, in the Greater Bay Area. We are planing indeed investments there, which will allow us to be even faster and more responsive to our customers in that part of China which is very important for us."

We have a bright path and we are securing investment to be able to grow our footprint, invest with the consumer in China. That's something that we will do anyway."

China's opening-up policy has fostered global cooperation, with international business leaders welcoming its pledge for a more open business environment.
China will continue expanding higher-standard opening-up and stabilizing foreign trade and investment in 2025, according to a government work report submitted Wednesday to the country's national legislature for deliberation.
The report was delivered by Chinese Premier Li Qiang on behalf of the State Council at the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday morning.
John Markmann, president of Grundfos China, a Denmark-based global pump manufacturing enterprise, highlighted the importance of international collaboration in setting energy efficiency standards.
"China's commitment to expanding its opening-up policy has bolstered global interactions and collaborations. Take standardization as an example. Here we see first that facilitating exchanges and discussions on China's energy-saving policies and standards with those of the EU and other countries, and also secondly, providing high-level support for the promotion and application of green and efficient pump products, both are very key to promoting the whole upgrading of the industry," he said.
Philippe Delorme, CEO and president of Finland-based elevator giant KONE, also expressed optimism about investment opportunities in China, particularly in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"We are receiving a positive signal in terms of support of investments that we are going to do in the Greater Bay Area. We also see a positive signal into the support to more modernization, moving from old houses to good houses. So, we want to expand our operation in the south of China, in the Greater Bay Area. We are planing indeed investments there, which will allow us to be even faster and more responsive to our customers in that part of China which is very important for us," he said.
Similarly, Christophe Archaimbault, CEO of Italian manufacturer Moleskine, outlined the company's long-term investment strategy in China.
"We have a five-year plan where we want to grow the network more or less five times compared to where it is today. This is something that we've been reviewing with the shareholders by the end of the year and early this year. We have a bright path and we are securing investment to be able to grow our footprint, invest with the consumer in China. That's something that we will do anyway," he said.
