6. Various of Bayi Aerobatic Team training
The Bayi Aerobatic Team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force completed the first adaptive training in Thailand on Wednesday ahead of airshow performances scheduled for March 7 and 8.
The team is in Thailand to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Thailand diplomatic relations.
The team's overseas mission, featuring an airshow of seven J-10 aircraft, highlights its return to Thailand after a decade and signifies the profound friendship between the air forces of the two countries.
A formation of six aircraft began an intense 20-minute training session at the Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok at about 11:15.
The Chinese jets executed a series of high-difficulty maneuvers, including barrel rolls, demonstrating the J-10 aircraft's exceptional agility and the formation's precise coordination.
"In today's adaptive training, we mainly tested our performance plans designed for high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, executing more than 20 maneuvers. The pilots remained in stable condition, and the aircraft performed exceptionally well, achieving the expected results. We are fully confident that we will showcase our best performance at the highest level," said pilot Zhao Chenglong from the Bayi Aerobatic Team.
Many local overseas Chinese gathered at the site to enjoy the performance, waving national flags of China and Thailand to salute to the formation.
"I've witnessed the exceptional skills of the Chinese Air Force pilots. It was absolutely breathtaking," said Su Chengzhi, overseas Chinese in Thailand.
This mission is the 12th overseas flight demonstration by the aerobatic team. Established over 60 years ago, the team has performed more than 700 times for over 700 delegations across more than 170 countries and regions.
