Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar emphasized the involvement of China in global discussions on peace and security.
"We must not discuss peace and security in this planet without China at the table," she told China Global Television Network (CGTN) in an interview.
"Slovenia always had a good relationship with China. Basically, we are trying to cooperate with everybody. Being a small-sized country, you know, it's a necessity to be open-minded," she said.

Slovenia and China established diplomatic relation in 1992 and have maintained friendly ties, according to China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two countries signed in 2017 a memorandum of understanding on jointly promoting the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
