China will advance scientific and technological innovation to power economic growth, Premier Li Qiang said in a keynote speech to the China Development Forum 2025 in Beijing on Sunday.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the two-day forum, Li said the approach to strengthening enterprises' sci-tech innovation capabilities will involve greater policy support in the form of increased investment and optimized resource allocation, an AI-focused initiative, and a dedicated national fund.
"We'll support various enterprises to boldly explore new areas and arenas by increasing investment and optimizing resource allocation, among other measures. We will deepen the implementation of the 'Artificial Intelligence Plus' initiative to empower various industries and establish a mechanism for driving investment growth in future industries.
