"China is deeply concerned about the earthquake in Myanmar. President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Myanmar's leader Min Aung Hlaing, expressing heartfelt sympathy for the victims and sincere condolences to the families of those affected, the injured and the people in the disaster area. Following the earthquake, China immediately activated the emergency response mechanism and made every effort to carry out rescue operations and consular protection. A rescue and medical team from Yunnan Province reached Myanmar just 18 hours after the earthquake, becoming the first international rescue team to enter the earthquake-stricken area. The team successfully rescued a trapped victim in collaboration with local rescue forces. The China Search and Rescue Team, the China International Search and Rescue Team, a rescue team from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, and the Chinese Red Cross International Emergency Response Team all entered Myanmar overnight to offer assistance. Civilian rescue forces from across China have either already arrived or are on their way. At present, about 400 Chinese earthquake experts, rescue workers and medical personnel are involved in relief efforts across various regions of Myanmar, and Chinese rescuers have saved six lives so far."

The first batch of these supplies has already arrived in Myanmar. The Red Cross Society of China has also contributed disaster relief supplies. Despite merciless natural disasters, love persists.
