I was so thrilled that I couldn't sleep well last night. I arrived early this morning and waited in line to board the ship. When I got on, I saw many middle school students and children even younger attend the event as well. I think this is a truly meaningful experience for them."

The Qinhuangdao Guided-Missile Frigate of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy opened itself to the public in the namesake Qinhuangdao City of north China's Hebei Province on Tuesday, to mark the 76th anniversary of the establishment of PLA Navy which fell on Wednesday.
The naval vessel sailed into the dock on Tuesday morning, marking its first public appearance in the city since it was commissioned into the PLA Navy in 2015. A large crowd of residents gathered at the dock to welcome the ship's arrival.
"As a crew member from Qinhuangdao City, I feel incredibly fortunate to serve on the Qinhuangdao Guided-Missile Frigate, but I also recognize the responsibility that comes with it. I'm extremely excited and proud to get back to my hometown with the vessel, and I'm deeply moved by the enthusiasm of the residents here," said Liu Xin, a crew member of the Qinhuangdao Guided-Missile Frigate.
"I'm so excited, because I heard the vessel would arrive at the port in Qinhuangdao. I am a veteran serving for over ten years in the military. I was so thrilled that I couldn't sleep well last night. I arrived early this morning and waited in line to board the ship. A series of activities are scheduled to take place throughout the event, which runs from Tuesday to Friday, allowing residents to meet naval officers and soldiers, engage in face-to-face exchanges, and experience unique naval culture, such as knot tying and flag signaling.
The crew of the naval vessel is also scheduled to visit local primary and secondary schools to conduct activities related to national defense education.
